The Convertible
It is most difficult to know who will be residing in assisted living developments, retirement settings, and in nursing home situations; what will their needs be? What will they want?
Aqua Bath has developed a unit that will accept a rigid or a fold-up seat, after the unit has been installed. With a few minutes of screwdriver use the maintenance people can render an ADA compliant transfer shower non-compliant by removing the seat. When the need arises the same screwdriver can restore ADA compliance to the shower in a matter of minutes.
The seats will be available as rigid seats, fold-up seats, slatted or padded and all seats will be interchangeable for like hands and models.

The shower enclosure shall be Aqua Bath Model IS3336SH acrylic and be molded from a single sheet of acrylic made with Lucite® cast acrylic so as not to have any joints or seams, shall meet ANSI, Z124.2, shall have a backside flame spread of less than 30. Shall be designed to meet NAHB. The unit shall have the inside dimensions of 33?x 34?x 80?H and outside dimensions of 41" x 34-1/2" x 84"H. The approximate weight of unit shall be 205 lbs. One soap tray shall be molded at 51? above the floor in back corner. The option of a factory installed Fold-up seat adds 3/4" to outside width.
The enclosure shall be pre-drilled and equipped with the following factory accessories: 1) two 24"straight x 1-1/2" diameter 18 gauge stainless steel grab bars with 1 ˝? safety statue clearance mounted with stainless steel bolts and secured from the rear with a 3" x 3" x 11 gauge metal mounting plates, 2) 1" diameter 18 gauge stainless steel curtain rod, 3) self caulking brass drain with stainless steel strainer, 4) one molded soap tray at 51" above floor in corner. After grab bars and curtain rod have been factory installed, they will be sealed from backside making the unit completely waterproof.
Available Options: 1) Factory installed fold up seat adds 3/4? to outside width, 2) Dome light, 3) Hand held shower set (includes: hand set, 60? flex hose swivel connector, vacuum breaker, brass nipple, lock nut and shower wall outlet), 4) 24? or 30? slide bar, 5) Pressure balance or thermostatic control valve, 6) White shower curtain, antibacterial, and hooks, 7) Seat belt, 8) Dial thermometer.

The tub/shower enclosure shall be Aqua Bath model AB6031TS (and variations) and shall be molded from a single sheet of cross linked, sanitary grade acrylic so as not to have any joints or seams; shall meet ANSI 124.1 and shall use a polyester resin system with chopped glass and fire retardant fillers to provide a backside flame spread of less than 30, and shall be designed to meet NAHB. The unit shall have inside dimensions of 56-3/4? x 30-3/4? x 79? and outside dimensions of 60? x 31 x 84?. The unit shall weigh approximately 225 lbs. and shall have contoured flange to accept drywall to insure easy and clean installation. The enclosure shall have two molded soap dishes, an 18? threshold and a sloped backrest.
